Job Description

Position: Lead Engineer (Modular / Offshore Plant Design)
Department: ENPC (Civil & Steel Structures)
Qualification:
• B.E./B.Tech. in Civil/Mechanical Engineering - Minimum (from reputed institute)
• M.E./M. Tech. in Structural Engineering – Desirable

Experience required: > 12 years of RELEVANT experience in Process Plant design of which at least 8 years of experience should be in Modular/Offshore design

Technical Skills / Knowledge:
• Conceptual design of modular structure
• Detail Analysis/Design of structures & pipe racks using STAAD Pro or similar software
• Experience with pre-service analysis (Lifting, Jacking, SPMT, Barge, Skidding etc.). Knowledge of fatigue analysis.
• Familiarization with weight control report and its use for module analysis and design.
• Experience of managing interfaces in Modular/Offshore design (Module yard, Naval Architect, Load Out Contractor, Marine Warranty Surveyor, Installation Contractor etc.)
• Knowledge of Indian and International codes (American, Euro, Russian etc.) relevant to structural discipline
• Knowledge of international codes relevant to Offshore structural discipline e.g. API RP2A, DNVGL-ST-N001 (Noble Denton Marine Services) is desirable
• Hands on experience of review tools e.g. SPR, Navis Works

Skill Set: Static analysis and design of modular steel structures

Software tools & technology:
Analysis & Design: STAAD Pro, STAAD Off-Shore, Knowledge of SACS is desirable Design Review: SPR, Navis Works

Key Role & Responsibilities:
• Conceptual arrangement of modular structures
• Preparation of project specifications for modular design
• Internal and external interface management
• Review and checking of Analysis and Design of large sized on-shore modules (Process structures and pipe racks)
• Checking models and drawings prepared by designers
• Delivering quality deliverables within allotted budget and schedule
